When giving dana to centers/courses, VCF does its best to follow a simple dana process — while still keeping within required U.S. legal guidelines.

VCF distributes dana to centers based on old student volition. In order for a center to be eligible to receive dana, the center will need to follow a simple three-step dana process. The process is as follows:

STEP 1: Grant request form

You are requested to fill out a dana/grant** request form. See HERE an example of the form that will need to be filled out.

Notes: if you are receiving dana from VCF for the first time, then you also need to provide some initial legal documents. VCF also does its best to pre-populate the dana/grant request form with any information that we already have on file from you to save you time.

** For U.S. compliance reasons, VCF occasionally needs to use more legal language (such as grant versus dana). But we do our best to explain this language wherever possible.

STEP 2: VCF REVIEW & MOU

Once the grant request form is completed, we need to have the relevant VCF geographic committee and/or board review and approve the grant request (which usually takes about a week). With their sign-off, VCF then asks you to electronically sign an MOU. See HERE for example MOU.

STEP 3: POST DANA REPORT

Once you have spent the dana (within a few months or a year depending on the dana period requested) — we ask for you to write a very brief report on how funds have been spent. This includes a brief description and a few photos. See HERE for sample report request.
