Dhamma Bhanu in Japan has been closed since the Fall of 2023 in order to seismically reinforce the dhamma hall, dining hall, and toilet and shower buildings. The shutdown occurred after a seismic specialist surveyed the center’s buildings and deemed that immediate action was required to ensure that the buildings (built around 1989) were earthquake-resistant.
In early January of this year, there was a big earthquake in Noto Peninsula, Japan — where many people were injured and lost their lives. So it became clear that Dhamma Banu’s efforts are more important than ever.
In order to complete its work and start offering ten-day courses again (hopefully in May or June), Dhamma Bhanu needs support. If you are interested in helping Dhamma Bhanu during this challenging time, you can do so by donating here.
