Supporting Dhamma Phala’s Continued Growth

Your help is currently needed in the reconstruction of the dining hall at Dhamma Phala

Nestled amidst the tranquil agricultural lands of Tiaong, Quezon, about 100 kilometers south of bustling Metro Manila, lies Dhamma Phala – a name that resonates with the profound meaning of "Fruition of Dhamma". Surrounded by the gentle embrace of the Maculot, Banahaw, and San Cristobal mountains, and blessed with an abundance of tropical fruit-bearing trees and a meandering creek, this secluded 3-hectare property offers an ideal atmosphere for deep introspection and self-discovery.

After being deemed unfit for use in 2022 due to termite damage, the center has seen the rebuilding of its dormitory buildings, renovation of bathroom blocks, and improvements to the temporary dining hall. These dedicated efforts contributed to the re-opening of its doors in January 2023, offering its first ten-day course after a three-year hiatus which started with the pandemic period.

The progress continued with the completion of the new Dhamma Hall at the end of 2024. The center can now accommodate 50 students per course, and courses are being offered monthly, allowing more individuals to walk the path to liberation.

The progress made is a testament to the power of shared commitment to Dhamma. Now, a new opportunity arises to further enhance Dhamma Phala’s capacity to serve. The next step in this journey is the construction of a new, permanent dining hall and reception area for welcoming students. This vital addition will replace the current temporary structures and allow the center to comfortably host up to 60 students in each course.

The continued development of Dhamma Phala through the Philippines Fund opens the door for many more to experience the benefits of Vipassana. Your participation, in whatever way feels appropriate, helps nurture this growth.

May these ongoing efforts to strengthen Dhamma Phala benefit many. May all beings be happy.
