Hawaii fund
Help us support Hawaii in expanding the number of annual, non-center courses offered.
Hawaii Vipassana started offering two non-center courses per year on Oahu in 2019 — accommodating ~100 students per course, but then was unable to offer courses from 2021 to 2022 due to COVID and limited resources. In 2023 Hawaii Vipassana, with additional support, offered two courses in the spring, which resulted in many new servers deciding to support Hawaii Vipassana. The fresh surge of energy has now resulted in the formation of a new Trust and the volition to offer 4 courses per year — accommodating an additional 200 students for a total of 400 old and new students annually!
You will receive a U.S. tax-deductible receipt upon donating.
To help fund this initiative, the Hawaii Vipassana Trust is seeking both one-time and ongoing donations.
Dana for Hawaii Vipassana will help cover:
Facilities rental and food costs
Infrastructure support to help reduce ongoing expenses, including:
Supporting the cost of a shipping container which allows us to store course materials while avoiding high long-term storage costs and potential damage to stored items.
Purchasing kitchenware, meditation cushions, knee cushions, and benches.
Any support in helping to spread Dhamma to a greater number of students in Hawaii will be greatly appreciated!
