Contribute to Dhamma Nilaya’s Expansion and Renovation

Since its founding in 1998, Dhamma Nilaya, a Dhamma House managed by the Association for the Support of Vipassana, has provided a peaceful space for old students to deepen their practice, particularly for the Khmer meditators in the region. As a smaller venue, Dhamma Nilaya primarily serves the Vipassana community around Paris, offering two one-day courses per month and three annual courses for children. While this house doesn’t offer 10-day courses, it remains an important resource for those who wish to reconnect with the Dhamma.

To meet the needs of this dedicated but small community of old students, Dhamma Nilaya is embarking on a renovation and expansion project to maintain the comfort and accessibility of the space.

This project will unfold in three key phases:

• Phase 1: Extending the roof structure to address water leaks affecting the women’s entrance to the Dhamma Hall.

• Phase 2: Creating a new dining hall in the basement to support the increasing number of meditators.

• Phase 3: Constructing a larger Dhamma Hall that will accommodate over 40 meditators, ensuring better accessibility for elderly students and those with mobility challenges.

This expansion is aimed at ensuring that Dhamma Nilaya continues to offer an ideal environment for old students to practice Dhamma. This project is important to maintain the functionality and serenity of this space for those who rely on it.

Your generous dana will directly support:

• Extending the roof to prevent water damage.

• Renovating the dining hall to accommodate more students.

• Building a new, accessible Dhamma Hall for a growing meditation community.
